And when the dust settles, a new champion will wear the crown.

I write to you from the International Relations desk at IIPM and have the honour and privilege to inform you that IIPM is all set to host the third edition of its celebrated B-School Quiz- ‘DARE – International B – School marketing Quiz in association with 4Ps (India’s truly Global Business and Marketing Magazine), in New Delhi in the month of February 2011. In keeping with the tradition of IIPM’s various global academic projects and initiatives, the institute is yet again expanding the scope of the event to an International level in order to establish Dare‘11, once again as an international meeting ground for the very best of the planet’s business and management students to meet, ideate & vie for honors while challenging their marketing wits and acumen. This event is not only a celebration of the intellectual might of some of the world’s best trained management students but is also a platform for them to share cultural and intellectual insights that create a unique synergy across borders and B-schools.

The Show & The Venue:
Many would muse over marketing as the unifying theme for a quiz, they are the many who forget that marketing has made the world, what it is today. Marketing as a genre, has fuelled business growth for what seems like an eon now and will continue to do so for eons to come. While innovation opens opportunities, marketing turns them into sustained tangible benefits.DARE’11 will be carried on through Zonal, National and International levels. Top national and international teams will compete in the Pre- Quarter Final, Quarter Final & Semi Final at the IIPM International Campus in New Delhi and six finalists will make it to the Grand Final to be held on 23rd February 2011 in New Delhi. The entire schedule with dates, the layout of the Quiz and rules & regulations have been explained in the following pages.

The Prize:
The champions of DARE ’2011 will receive cash prizes in the following order:
Winner Rs. 2, 50,000    
First Runner up Rs. 1, 50, 000    
Second Runner up Rs. 1, 00,000    
Third Runner up Rs. 1, 00,000    
… & many more exciting prizes to be won in every leg of the event.

The Host:
King Khan, yet again the irrepressible and all conquering Shah Rukh, returns to IIPM to preside over the 3rd edition of the International Business & Marketing Quiz – DARE’11. And the ‘Dare’ is more than just another quiz, it is a paean to the global village and the elixir that emerges when churned with the right whisk. And presiding over this war of wits would be a great wonder from the world of entertainment, Superstar and screen god of Indian Cinema Shahrukh Khan.

Ambassador. From Tag Heuer, Omega, Pepsi, Hyundai, Nokia, Nerolac, Videocon, ITC, Pepsodent et
al. Shahrukh Khan has been associated with every top-notch brand of the world. Today King Khan is a brand in himself. For the first time in the history of any B-school, IIPM presents - SHAHRUKH KHAN to host the Grand Final of the 4Ps Business & Marketing Quiz – Dare’11.


It would be an honor and a matter of great pride for the entire IIPM fraternity to host your students. We look forward to your mail informing us of the details of the participants for DARE 2011 and thus pave the path towards a long and fruitful relationship between our institutes.

destiny at an unprecedented event called DARE 2011.

Dare 2010
  1. B-schools can nominate only one team comprising of two (2) members for DARE 2011.

  2. All participants are required to carry a valid photo ID card of their institute.

  3. All Entry Forms need to be necessarily endorsed by the appropriate authority of the institute. Individual entry forms from students will not be entertained.

  4. Only invited National/ International B-Schools are allowed to participate in the show.

  5. Grouping of B-school at each Level of DARE 2011 is solely at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

  6. Zonal Level will be held in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata only.

  7. Zonal Level winners will participate in the National Level Challenge (Pre-Quarter Final) with the 4Ps Editors
    Choice B-Schools to be held in New Delhi.

  8. The Top International B-Schools get a direct entry at the International Level Challenge (Quarter Final) to be held in New Delhi.

  9. All selected B-schools will be intimated individually about the programme structure.

  10. The participating students must be in Business Formals and must wear their participation-badges, and adhere to dress code/uniforms at all times during the show.

  11. The decision of the DARE 2011 Organising Committee will be final and binding on all participants.

  12. All contents would be the property of IIPM and 4Ps (India’s truly global Business & Marketing Magazine). 4Ps has the exclusive rights to publish or broadcast the content/proceedings of this initiative in any medium they deem fit.

  13. DARE 2011 Organising Committee shall not have any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever incurred (whether directly or indirectly) by any participant in result of any cancellation, change, postponement or amendment of the Quiz Show.

  14. The winners must be aware that the responsibility of DARE 2011 Organising Committee is only to ensure that the winners receive their prizes. The Organising Committee is not responsible for any other Liability beyond that.

  15. Boarding and Lodging including travel re-imbursement for all 4Ps Editors Choice B-Schools will be borne by the Organising Committee of DARE 2011.

  16. Food and Stay for all participants at all levels (Zonal, National, International…) will be borne by the DARE 2011 Organising Committee.

  17. Travel of Zonal participants is the responsibility of the participating B-School/participants. However, travel reimbursement (3 tiers AC) will be given only to the 16 finalist (i.e from Respective City to Zone & back to Respective City), reaching the next level.

  18. Travel for Outstation participants for Nationals also remains the responsibility of the participating B-School.
    However, travel re-imbursement (3 tiers AC) will be given only to the teams qualifying for the next level- Quarter Final. (i.e. from Respective City to New Delhi & back to Respective City).

  19. Travel from International level (i.e Pre-Quarter) will be the responsibility of the DARE 2011 organising committee.

  20. Outstation participants should indicate if they require accommodation at the earliest. Accommodation would be strictly on first come first serve basis only.
